In each chain, an electrode's voltage is compared to that of the electrode behind it, so each tracing line is a pair of electrodes in which the voltage of the second electrode is subtracted from the voltage of the first.
From there, you divide the head into consecutive increments of 10% and 20% to find the placement of the electrodes, as shown in the illustration below (which is not, of note, anatomically correct!). The first step in the 10-20 system setup is finding the nasion (the top of the nose bride, between the eyes) and the inion (the small bump in the middle of the back of the head).
For the midline/central electrodes, instead of a number their letters are clarified with a " z."
The number corresponds to the side of the brain- odds on the left, evens on the right-and the particular area of each region. There is no acknowledgment of the montage, and it's terribly misleading.Now that you have a grasp of the pertinent neurophysiology that gives rise to the EEG signal, let's finally dive into the EEG itself. I think The Seattle Times's disgraceful propaganda and terribly misrepresentative of documentary journalism in times like this, when truth-telling and accountability is so important, there is no attribution.
A MONTAGE MEANING TV
But as you see the 100th montage where Stewart shows how all these cliches are repeated across the board, you don't look at TV news in the same way. When he is going on all cylinders that show could be absolutely breath-taking and really informative and important to the civic conversation, people used to watch some of this goofy stuff that goes on in TV news and didn't think anything about it. So often, gay romances are a subplot or alluded to or shown in some kind of montage or as a punchline, and what I think I was really excited about, with this episode, we get to see - without spoiling too much - the beginning, middle and who knows how it ends of a gay relationship, of really getting into the nitty-gritty of how gay people date, how they meet, what it's like. For instance, this morning, it was raining quite heavily, but later it became really sunny, so the quality and color of light keeps changing, i wanted to get this particular instance of lighting, in creating color layers and express what is almost like serendipity, that I get this amazing color like a montage. I wanted to achieve this mixture of color, that you sometimes get by chance.
